Summary: Barbados is a beautiful island! The location of the rental was perfect - a short, easy walk to the beaches and restaurants. However, the property as a whole was neglected inside and out. The pictures and information provided by the host were outdated and, in some cases, no longer valid. My husband and I like to eat in some of our meals while on vacation, but we found the kitchen filthy. We had to wash all cooking pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, etc twice before using them. Even then, some of the items were NOT usable. The gas stove has to be lit by hand with a lighter and there was no smoke /carbon-monoxide detector installed although it was noted on the property listing. When we walked in the rental the host told us that the A/C was only in two of the three bedrooms...so the main living/dining areas were hot and stuffy. We have been renting VRBO properties for almost 20 years and this was the worst experience we have ever had. With a little TLC and some work on the listing, this place could be a real gem.
