Summary: I was disappointed with my stay. The first thing I noticed was that the hotel's main entrance was blocked with red-and-white hazard tape. Maintenance issues happen, but it created a poor first impression. The entrance door also had a very loose handle, reinforcing the feeling that the property was not well maintained. The underground garage was another disappointment. It felt more like an abandoned or squatted space than part of a hotel. It was untidy, and the entire underground level gave the impression of an old building slowly falling apart. The staff were only barely professional. They weren't rude, but they were not helpful either. For example, I asked if they could mail a postcard that already had a stamp, and they simply refused. The room itself was large, which was one of the few positives. However, although it had air conditioning, I couldn't control it myself. Staff had to come to switch it on and set the temperature. Reception also refused to lend me the remote, so I essentially had to camp at the front desk until someone finally let me have one. I also felt the "apartment rooms" are maintained to a different standard than the regular rooms. Overall, apart from the spacious room, this stay was a major disappointment. Because of the poor maintenance, inflexible policies, and unhelpful service, I am very unlikely to ever return.
